Hello my friends, my name is Tenara. Thank you so much for being here.

Let's talk about sacred rage because sacred rage is just that. It is sacred and it is such an incredible, powerful, cathartic, alchemical energy for us to access on our journey healing from generational trauma.

Now, if you have endured generational and ancestral trauma and you think you're not mad, you might want to think again. Getting angry is a natural human reaction to our boundaries being violated and when we were abused or neglected or betrayed or manipulated or persecuted or exiled, we definitely had this natural human reaction of anger.

Now, chances are we were not allowed to express it so we suppressed it because if we spoke up, if we got angry, if we reacted to these injustices that were happening, we got shut down. We were silenced. We were punished.

All these negative things happened and so we learned that it is not safe to express our anger. Yet the traumas, the injustices, they continued. So the anger, instead of being expressed in a healthy way to reclaim our boundaries, it just festered within us.

So what we have now at this point that we decide to go on this journey healing from ancestral trauma is we have mountains of latent energy and incredible untapped potential within our energy field.

So we want to work with this energy and use it to move ourselves from victimhood, from a place of total disempowerment, to a place of reclaiming personal agency and actually making decisions, making moves in our life that reset our boundaries, that reclaim our sovereignty and move us forward in a direction that truly serves and honors us.

Now, in order to do that, we need to go through this process of expressing the rage. And this might sound like a fairly easy thing to do, but it's actually quite challenging because again, we were taught to stay silent and that it's dangerous to express our anger and rage.

And these emotions, these powerful energies are generally looked down upon in society. We are not celebrated for working with our anger, right? We're told that that's a low vibe thing to do, something that we should really work on and try to manage. And even that that is shameful. So we really need to get past this limiting conditioning that told us that working with our natural reaction of being angry about the traumas was wrong or should be suppressed.

It's basically akin to like sticking your finger into a light socket, getting this electric shock in your body. And then instead of shaking and releasing and letting out this energetic charge, we just hold it in. And then we walk through life that way, right? That is basically what it's like with generational trauma.

We received these blows to our nervous system, these shocks to our emotional body, but we weren't allowed to release them. So we just walk around with all of this energy held in and it's very dangerous and corrosive.

So anger is healthy. Anger is okay. Anger is a natural reaction. When anger becomes toxic is when we leave it unchecked, right? When we don't express it, when we don't say, Hey, that's wrong. Hey, that hurts. Hey, that's not allowed. Hey, I don't like that. And instead it festers within.

So we don't want to let this powerful, volatile, beautiful, latent energy to fester within us anymore. We want to use it to catapult ourselves forward into our own empowerment.

Now I want to give you a big fat disclaimer right now. I am talking about doing conscious inner work, conscious shadow work. I am never talking about going off on people, expressing your anger all over everybody or everything or the dog or the cat or the plants or anything, right?

I am talking about expressing this powerful energy in a safe container and in a safe way, right?

So this is something like maybe getting in your car and driving to a nature spot so that you can go howl at the moon, which by the way is something that I used to do quite a bit. I would drive out into the desert and throw rocks around when there was nobody there. And I would yell at God and scream at the sky and just allow myself to totally just go wild out there.

Another example of a way that you could express this anger is by, you know, punching the pillows, using your whole body to shake and rock. I used to twist a towel up and whip the tabletop. That was very satisfying. That made a very loud ruckus. I also used to throw plastic cups across the kitchen floor. It didn't break anything, but it made a really loud, satisfying sound. But my favorite was definitely like driving out into nature and just like really going crazy, throwing rocks and sticks and letting it out.

And we want to let it out of our soma, out of our body, right? This is a somatic release as much as it is an emotional release. So we want to shake and beat and punch and do all of the things in a safe way. But we want to do that in tandem with using our throat chakra, using our voice to express just how fucked up it was that we endured these injustices, right?

So you can tell the story of what happened to yourself. You can witness yourself recounting these memories and purging them and saying, you know what? And then this happened and then she called me and then they lied and then it happened again. And then I was shut down. Fuck them. Fuck that.

Yeah. I would go over all of my memories as they came up. Like I wasn't digging for them. I was in a process of active purging. I knew that I was healing. And when a memory came up, I would recount it. I would tell the story. I would use my throat chakra to express and tell every little detail that I could remember back to myself and really get it out of my emotional body. And I did that in tandem with whipping the tabletop and punching the pillows and shaking my core and doing whatever it was that I could physically to release that stagnant energy from my energy field.

And that is this, you know, process of alchemy with the sacred rage. We don't want to go away from it. We don't want to be afraid of it. We want to honor it because your anger was there for a reason in the first place. It's not a pointless energy. It's not a pointless emotion.

Anger tells us that our boundaries have been violated. And even if they were violated 20 or 30 or 80 years ago, it doesn't matter. That suppressed energy and that suppressed reaction is still there.

That's why it's so important to speak the story and say the things that you would have said back then, or maybe just the things you want to say now. The point is not to censor yourself when you do this work. It is no holds barred. It is uncensored. It is raw. It is dirty. It is shadow work.

And most people, quite frankly, are afraid of going this deep, right? They are afraid of this powerful alchemical work. But I'm here to tell you that it is okay to go through this process.

And in fact, it is more than okay. It is a critical part of your healing journey. It is going to get dirty and nasty and raw. When you recount the memories or the stories, whatever's coming up for you, and you say what you want to happen to those people who hurt you in the way that they did, it's really raw to witness yourself this way.

And it doesn't mean you're going to act on it. Of course, you are not going to act on it. This is not taking action against others. This is not getting revenge. This is emotional and energetic expression in a safe container.

I have to keep repeating that in case someone misconstrues this message. It is really important to understand that we are not going off on other people. But yeah, you can say what it is that you were thinking in the back of your mind, but you never let come out of your mouth. I mean, I used to say things that, wow, I cannot repeat them on the internet, but I hope you catch my drift.

So this is incredibly powerful work. And at the end of one of these big rage sessions, you might just realize that anger is in fact a cover emotion. It is the emotion that covers up our deeper sense of sadness and loss and grief. Anger covers grief, right? Anger is how we react to a loss. And now what is that loss? That is a loss of safety, of dignity, of support, of love, of money, of anything, really.

We experienced a loss and our natural reaction is to get angry about it, right? But underneath that anger, we just need to grieve the loss.

So when we do this work of processing our sacred rage, it actually allows us to access a deeper layer of ourselves. And that is the part of ourselves that needs to grieve the losses, right?

And that's a whole nother video. That's a whole nother chapter of healing, if you will. But I just wanted to give that to you so that you can understand there are levels in our healing journey. The healing journey is not linear. However, there are some guidelines that we can follow. And it's definitely true that the anger is going to be a big block in front of these deeper layers of grief that we can only access once we've mobilized that stagnant energy of anger inside our body. And then there is space for the grief to come forward and be fully felt and acknowledged.

And if you're feeling angry about what has happened to you, and you know that you have endured ancestral trauma and generational trauma, I want you to know that is healthy. That is okay. That is important. And that is something that you can honor as long as you honor it in the right way. And of course, in a safe way, but you have the right to be angry. In fact, you should be angry.

How the hell are you going to go through 20, 30, 40, even lifetimes of abuse and not be mad about it? It just doesn't make sense. Of course, you're pissed off and you should be.

And when you access that energy, you reclaim a part of yourself that has been silenced and shut down for so long. And it brings you into your personal agency. It brings you into a higher frequency, and it allows you to mobilize this energy and use it to actually move forward into your healing.
